Pierre Tomassi

Pierre Tomassi is a young percussionist studying at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse (CNSMD) in Paris. Born in Metz, he started playing piano, guitar and classical percussion at the conservatory. In parallel to his studies, he trains in pedagogy, teaches at the conservatory Saint-Maur-des-Fossés.

In 2023, his passion for chamber music led him to found the Duo Contract with his percussion colleague Théo Lampérier, as well as the ensemble Crumb, with whom he was accepted to the chamber music master’s program at the CNSMD in Paris.

His passion for contemporary repertoire has led him to play works by Alexandros Markeas, Bernard Cavanna and Philippe Manoury with Les Percussions de Strasbourg, the Paris Percussion Group and the Ensemble intercontemporain. He also performs with orchestras such as the Orchestre de l’Opéra national de Paris, l’Orchestre National de France and the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France.
