Sarah Trilsch

Sarah Trilsch was born in Dresden in 1986. She studied German language and literature at Leipzig University, literary writing at the German Institute for Literature in Leipzig, dramatic writing at the uniT in Graz, and library and information science at the University of Borås.
She writes plays and audio dramas for SWR, RBB, and Deutschlandfunk Kultur. She has received several grants and awards for her work, including the Munich Prize for German-Language Drama for her play young rebel, the Leonhard Frank Prize for Ich und die Weltmeere. Weil die Tür vom U-Boot klemmte, and the sponsorship award of the Berlin Children’s Theater Prize for her children’s play Wenn Pinguine fliegen.
Trilsch resides with her family in Stockholm.
