Dutch-born clarinetist Kymia Kermani attended the Young Talent Class at the Amsterdam Conservatory, where she completed her bachelor's degree. She pursued further studies at the Royal College of Music in London, earning a Master’s degree in Orchestral Performance there. As a chamber musician, Kymia Kermani focuses on both classical and contemporary music. She has appeared at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, the Royal Albert Hall and at London’s Cadogan Hall as part of the Rising Stars Series. Kymia Kermani has won the RCM Clarinet Prize, the Bass Clarinet Prize and the RCM Woodwind Ensemble Competition Prize. A concert tour with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Charles Dutoit introduced her to Spanish audiences in 2012. In 2014 she performed in Buenos Aires, Lucerne, Salzburg, at the London BBC Proms and the Waldbühne Berlin with the West-Eastern Divan Orchester conducted by Daniel Barenboim. Kymia Kermani plays at the Theater an der Elbe Hamburg, teaches clarinet and regularly appears in chamber music recitals throughout Europe.
