Pianist Björn Lehmann studied with Klaus Hellwig, Fausto Zadra,Wolfram Rieger and Axel Bauni. He has also benefited from the artistic insight of Zoltan Kocsis, Ferenc Rados, Leonard Hokanson, Robert Levin, the members of the Amadeus Quartet, London, Hartmut Höll, and Irwin Gage. Since 2004, Björn Lehmann has taught piano solo majors as a faculty member of Darmstadt’s Akademie für Tonkunst.
At the same time he has performed as soloist, chamber musician partner and song accompanist appearing at the Bachfest Leipzig, the Moselfestwochen, the Ludwigsburg Schloßfestspiele, the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, and En blanco y negro in Mexico. Björn Lehmann has performed in numerous radio broadcast productions both in Germany and abroad. In 2009 he was featured on a CD of solo and chamber music works by contemporary composer Friedrich Goldmann released on the edel records label.
