„A command of the instrument and its many moods is what sets Elisabeth Plank apart from the very first note.“ (Harp Column)
Ever since giving her debut as a soloist at the Wiener Konzerthaus when only 17, the young Austrian harpist Elisabeth Plank has established herself as an internationally renowned soloist and an ambassador of her instrument. Much sought after for concert appearances on the world’s concert stages, her career has taken her to many of the most important music centres in Europe, Japan and Latin America, such as Musikverein Wien and Reykjavík’s Harpa Concert Hall.

Her solo albums L’arpa notturna and 1825 earned the highest praise from international critics. Winner of many awards, she has performed as a soloist with orchestras such as the Thüringer Symphoniker Saalfeld-Rudolstadt, the NFM Leopoldinum Orchestra, the Vienna Chamber Orchestra and the Baroque ensemble of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra. From 2019 to 2021, Elisabeth Plank was artist-in-residence for the “Great Talent” series at the Wiener Konzerthaus.

Elisabeth Plank was born in Vienna in 1991. She completed her studies with distinction at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna with Adelheid Blovsky-Miller and subsequently pursued further studies with Mirjam Schröder and Fabrice Pierre.

Elisabeth Plank presents the harp to audiences as a versatile and exciting instrument that is rich in tonal color and textures, with unusual repertoire and a broad range of styles. Her tireless efforts to raise and broaden the profile of the harp have enriched the repertoire for her instrument not only with newly discovered works but also with many new compositions.
