Nicolas Altstaedt - winner of the Credit Suisse Young Artist Award

By unanimous decision GENUIN artist Nicolas Altstaedt was named the winner of the Credit Suisse Young Artist Award for 2010.
The Credit Suisse Young Artist Award is an initiative of the LUCERNE FESTIVAL, the Vienna Philharmonic, the Vienna Society of Friends of Music and the Credit Suisse Foundation. The award recognizes the achievement of outstanding young artists early in their career and includes a cash grant and the opportunity to appear in concerts and thus advance their career as performing artists. Valued at CHF 75,000, the award is conferred every two years (alternating with the national Prix Credit Suisse Jeunes Solistes). The age limit for competition entrants is 30 years. Artists are invited to take party by classical music experts.

The award winner performs in concert as soloist with the Vienna Philharmonic under the baton of Gustavo Dudamel at the LUCERNE FESTIVAL on September 17, 2010.
