Heiko Reintzsch was born in 1965 in Leipzig and received his first piano lessons at the age of five. From 1983 to 1987 he studied accompaniment at the University of Music and Theater “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” in Leipzig. From 1985 he was the pianist and accompanist for the Gewandhaus Children’s and Youth Choir, choir assistant and rehearsal pianist for the MDR Radio Choir Leipzig, teacher of accompaniment at the conservatories of music in Berlin and Leipzig, as well as the artistic director for both the Chamber Choir Leipzig North and the Leipzig Chamber Choir. In addition, he plays in a piano duo together with Heidrun Clemen and is the founder of the piano duo TaSteRe.
