TrioSono
When Hiroko Kudo (piano), Karl Heinrich Niebuhr (violin), and Matthias Wilde (cello) joined together in Leipzig to form TrioSono in 2012, their passion for chamber music and experience in two orchestras steeped in long tradition served as important sources of inspiration for their musical collaboration. Following studies in Tokyo, London, Leipzig, and Toronto with Hidemitsu Hayashi, Joan Havill, Gerald Fauth, and John Perry, pianist Hiroko Kudo returned to Germany, where she dedicates herself to teaching alongside her chamber music and solo activities.
Violinist Karl Heinrich Niebuhr joined the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra in 2007, when he was still studying with Klaus Hertel at the University of Music and Theater “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” in Leipzig, while fellow Leipzig native Matthias Wilde received important impulses in his musical training from Michael Sanderling in Frankfurt am Main. He accepted a position as solo cellist at the Anhalt Theater in Dessau and is currently a member of the Dresden Staatskapelle, which he joined in 2011.
TrioSono now performs concerts on stages throughout Germany and Europe, and is committed both to exploring the riches of the basic piano trio repertoire and to making hidden gems more well-known. The three musicians drew special inspiration for their musical development from Gerald Fauth, as well as from other renowned musicians and ensembles.
