Claudia Weissbarth, Flute
Claudia Weissbarth studied flute at the Zurich’s Conservatorium and with Robert Dick as well as pursuing further studies at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. She also studied musicology at Basel University. She then pursued an international careers as a soloist appearing with the Kurpfälzisches Kammerorchester Mannheim and the Hradec Králové Philharmonic Orchestra in the Czech Republic. Claudia Weissbarth performs as an ensemble member with the Basel Chamber Orchestra, at the Zurich Opernhaus with the La Scintilla Baroque Orchestra and in Chapelle ancienne. She is also in demand as a chamber musician and a member of the Mondnacht Ensemble Basel. In 2009 her CD Nuances was released with concert harpist Julia Weissbarth.
