The Polish pianist Radosław Kurek graduated with distinction from the piano class of Professor Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń at the Music Academy in Gdańsk, and was an assistant to Professor Popowa-Zydroń in 2008–2009. He is currently on the faculty of the Music Academy in Bydgoszcz, Poland. He is a laureate of many piano and chamber music competitions including First Prize at the Johannes Brahms International Competition in Pörtschach (2008) together with Georgiy Lomakov and The Bridget Doolan Prize for the Best Performance of a work by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart at the Dublin Piano Competition in 2012. He has performed both as a soloist and in chamber music recitals in Austria, Germany, France, Italy, Belgium, Spain, Poland and Switzerland. His performances are featured on several record labels and radio productions.
