Since its inception in 2005, the sonic.art saxophone quartet has quickly established itself among the first rank of young chamber music formations. The ensemble has won numerous competitions, including the German Music Competition, Poland’s International Competition of Contemporary Chamber Music and the 2009 European Chamber Music Competition in Karlsruhe. In addition, sonic.art has won scholarships from two German foundations, Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben and the Gotthard Schierse Foundation. Concert tours have taken the quartet throughout Europe, Asia and the United States. sonic.art also regularly performs at important international festivals such as the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, the Cambridge Summer Music Festival, and the Northern Aldborough Festival in Yorkshire, England.
