Adolph Seidel studied voice with Peter Wetzler and Paul Lohmann. Among other areas, he places a strong focus on music from the Early and High Baroque. Since 1992 he has regularly collaborated in performance of Early Music repertoire with the highly lauded Orlando di Lasso Ensemble. In addition to performances of important bass solos within the oratorio repertoire and song recitals, he dedicates much time to singing in small ensembles. Adolph Seidel has been a regular member of the Kammerchor Stuttgart under Frieder Bernius since 1977. As one of its founding members, he also regularly performs with Georg Grün’s KammerChor Saarbrücken. Mr. Seidel conducts and sings with his “VocArt” Early Music ensemble in both the eight-voice a capella formation as well with forces sufficient for performing works such as Bach’s St. John Passion or Christmas Oratorio.
